Procedure for entry into terminal :

Pakistan Nationals

Documents

Visitor pass are processed only on Receipt of following information in writing or through authentic/official e-mail:-

• Name of visitor.
• Date & Time of visit.
• Purpose of visit.
• Location/Person to be visited.
• CNIC No.
• Company’s name (if official).
• Designation.
• Contractor’s name, nature of job, place of work & list of labour along-with copy of CNIC and written request (on company letter head) of contractor for issuance of passes.

Pass Acquisition

The Firm/Company intimates/requests to Manager Security/PFSO for issuance of cards/passes in writing through pass section (Security Dept.) along-with following:-

• Prescribed form along with connected documents
• Recommendation of concerned department of PICT.

Foreign nationals

• Foreigner are allowed inside with prior permission of the concerned govt. authorities (i.e. Ministry of Interior Islamabad/Home depart ment Sindh, Ministry of Ports & Shipping and Director Naval Intelli gence/Dock Security Organization).

Ship Crews

• Foreign Ship’s crew should be allowed to embark/disembark on production of ‘Permit issued by the FIA Immigration authority.
• Foreign Ship’s crew should be allowed to temporary exit (for a day) on pro duction of Shore Leave issued by the FIA Immigration authority and Identity pass.

What to remember

There are a few guidelines defined by PICT that individuals need to follow to get through the security check, otherwise, security clearance wouldn’t be granted to enter the terminal

• Availability of original CNIC during visit into the terminal.
• Motorcyclist must wear helmet before entry into the terminal.
• Park vehicle at designated visitors place.
• Cooperate in security checks of following portions of the vehicle shall be checked thoroughly:-
• Boot (Diggi of the car)
• Dash Board.
• Floor with Under Vehicle Inspection Mirror.
• Monitoring through Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS).

What to avoid

The terminal is a restricted area and hence, there are some items/Actions strictly prohibited in Port Area that you require to avoid while entering the terminal.

• Photography (any type)
• Taxi/Auto, Rickshaw, Hawkers or public transport
• Camera/any-other photo taking device
• Arms & Ammunition
• Fire/Explosive material
• Knife/dagger etc (which may be used as a weapon)
• Loose fuel & inflammable material
• Fertilizer
• Drug
