Lirene Mora-Suarez, Director

Lirene is ICTSI’s Director for Global Corporate Legal Affairs. She joined ICTSI in 2007 as Industrial Relations Officer and has since held several positions in the Legal Department, including Regional Counsel for Asia Pacific.
Lirene has been elected as a Director in ICTSI subsidiaries in Papua New Guinea – Motukea International Container Terminal Ltd. and South Pacific International Container Terminal. Concurrently, she is a Director of Bauan International Port, Inc., Laguna Gateway Inland Container Terminal, Inc. and South Cotabato Integrated Port Services, Inc.; a Director and Corporate Secretary of Abbotsford Holdings, Inc., IW Cargo Handlers, Inc. Manila Harbor Center Port Services, Inc.; a Corporate Secretary of Catalyst Logistics Incorporated, Sevilla Brokerage Incorporated, Intermodal Terminal Holdings, Inc., IWI Container Terminal Holdings, Inc.; and Assistant Corporate Secretary of ICTSI Subic, Inc., Subic Bay International Terminal Corporation and Subic Bay International Terminal Holdings, Inc. Lirene is also the Corporate Secretary of ICTSI Foundation, Inc.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy (Summa Cum Laude) from the College of Social Sciences & Philosophy and Juris Doctor degree from the College of Law of the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Lirene was recognized as the 2019 Woman Lawyer of the Year and a finalist for the 2019 Young Lawyer of the Year by the Asian Legal Business Philippine Law Awards. In 2023, Lirene received recognition from The Legal 500 as she was selected to be part of the inaugural General Counsel Powerlist Philippines.
Asif Raza, Director
Mr. Asif Raza Khan has over 25 years of diversified professional experience in financial services industry at various management posts, mostly with multinational banks in many countries like UK, Australia, UAE, and Pakistan. He is a risk management and controls specialist, and carries considerable experience of working in different environments. While working with PwC UK, he has undertaken several consultancy assignments for top-tier global investment banks, commercial and retail banks, insurance companies, asset management firms, digital banks, and Fin-Tech companies. Besides, he has also assisted IFAAS and IFC (World Bank Group) teams in delivering advisory and consulting services to Islamic banks, microfinance banks, and others clients based in the UK, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman.
Mr. Asif Raza Khan is a Certified Director, holds an MBA (Banking and Finance), and a Postgraduate Diploma (Islamic Banking and Finance). He is an associate member of various professional bodies, such as, Institute of Public Accountants of Australia, Institute of Financial Accountants of UK, Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Pakistan, Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan, and many others. He also holds Diploma in Advanced Computer Studies that has helped him in efficiently managing emerging technology and information security risks including supply chain risks. He has attended many international seminars and conferences, advanced financial management courses and training from institutions of international repute in Pakistan and abroad.
Mr. Asif has financial and trading interests in Pakistan, UK, and UAE in various sectors like financial services, professional services, fin-tech, construction, real estate, retail (e-commerce), transportation and logistics; and is also a director in few other companies. Currently, he is associated with an African bank in London (UK) and reshaping and transforming the bank’s risk management and credit admin functions focusing on strategic risk, credit risk, capital risk, market risk, liquidity risk, conduct risk, operational risk (including operational resilience, cyber and information security, third party risk, model risk), compliance risk, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risks. He has authored many articles on banking, Islamic banking and finance, and various risk management and internal controls topics.
Rune Rasmussen, Independent Director

Rune Rasmussen has more than 15 years of extensive experience in asset management, directing large investment projects and portfolios, business transformations and facilitating change management. He previously held senior management roles in Valais Investment Management, Dexia Bank and Acuma Wealth Management.
Mr. Rune holds a Masters degree in Economics and Bachelor in Arts and Economics from the University of Copenhagen
Bilal Shahid, Director

Bilal Shahid has more than 15 years of diversified professional experience in seaport development, port operation management, multinational logistics services, transport, warehousing, stevedoring and off-dock container terminal operations. He has served as Director of numerous companies in the Bilal Group.
A Certified Public Accountant from New Jersey, USA, Mr. Shahid also holds Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University.
Aslam Zakaria, Director
Mr. Aslam Zakaria is a Qualified Cost & Management Accountant with over 35 years of executive leadership experience in the shipping, ports, logistics, supply chain, and commercial sectors. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions with leading multinational shipping and logistics companies, serving in key Commercial, Operations, and Finance roles across Pakistan and Sri Lanka, where he has led commercial operations, finance, business development, and corporate strategy.
He has a proven track record of turning around businesses, driving sustainable profitability, improving operational efficiency, and delivering significant revenue growth. His expertise spans commercial management, financial planning, contract negotiations, strategic planning, supply chain optimization, business transformation, and organizational restructuring.
A commercially astute and results-oriented leader, Aslam possesses extensive experience in developing growth strategies, optimizing costs, strengthening governance, and building high-performing teams. He has successfully managed complex commercial operations, negotiated high-value contracts, and established long-term relationships with multinational customers, shipping lines, government authorities, and strategic stakeholders.
His unique ability to integrate commercial strategy with financial discipline has enabled organizations under his leadership to achieve operational excellence, enhanced profitability, and sustained competitive advantage. His cross-functional leadership across Commercial, Operations, and Finance, combined with extensive exposure to multinational business environments in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, has equipped him with a broad regional perspective and a deep understanding of international shipping, logistics, and supply chain management.
Muhammad Anjum Naseem, Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Mr. Anjum Naseem is a seasoned business leader with over 38 years of executive experience in corporate leadership, finance, manufacturing, trading, logistics, shipping, and strategic business management. Throughout his distinguished career, he has built a strong reputation for strengthening governance frameworks, and delivering sustainable organizational growth.
He began his professional career with A. F. Ferguson & Co. (PwC Pakistan), where he developed a strong foundation in auditing, financial management, taxation, and corporate governance. He has since held senior leadership positions with Abbas Steel Group, Mega & Forbes Group, and Bilal Group, contributing to strategic planning, regulatory compliances, business growth, operational excellence, and sound financial & risk management across the manufacturing and trading sectors. For the past 18 years, Mr. Naseem has served in senior executive and financial leadership roles within Pakistan’s logistics, shipping, and port operations industry.
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Naseem is responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving sustainable business growth, strengthening stakeholder confidence, and ensuring the highest standards of corporate governance and regulatory compliance. His extensive industry experience, sound commercial judgment, and commitment to operational excellence position the Company to deliver sustainable long-term value for its shareholders and stakeholders.
Muhammad Aleem Farooqi, Director
Mr. Muhammad Aleem Farooqi has over 20 years of extensive experience in logistics, supply chain management, port operations, and multimodal transportation across Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Central Asia. He has led the development of innovative logistics solutions, including the Pakistan–Central Asia transit trade corridor, Pakistan’s first foreign transshipment through an Off-Dock Terminal (ODT), and Pakistan’s first port-to-inland multi-modal rail freight service. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with global shipping lines, government authorities, and international organizations, driving operational excellence, business development, and regional trade connectivity.
Mr. Farooqi holds an MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
